Denver Daisy Gloriosa Daisy is a long-season native herbaceous perennial with an upright mounding habit and dark green narrow foliage.  Heavy blooms of large golden semi-double daisy-like flowers with a large mahogany red eye surrounding the prominent black-brown center disk last all summer into fall.  Flowers best in full sun and consistent moisture.  Drought tolerant once established.  Deadheading will prolong the bloom time.

Rudbeckia hirta is a host plant for the Silvery CheckerspotGorgone Checkerspot, Bordered Patch butterfly.  The nectar attracts various bees and butterflies.
